Press Release: Our Volunteer Translator WanWan
February 19, 2011 – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – As you may notice that eVisa Asia provides visa requirements information in a wide range of languages from English, Chinese, Spanish and so on. It would be a mission impossible without having a group of supportive voluntary translators in assisting us with the translation.
Special thanks to all of them who are willing to contribute their parts in our website. All our translators come from various backgrounds and we always get responses of this voluntary service through emails or by the comments left by them in our website.
One of the highlighted story of our website translator is Wan Wan from Malaysia. She found us through Facebook and decided to contribute her skills in Malay language translation which was really helpful after a long wait of 3 months in getting the right translator.
Just a brief sharing of Wan Wan’s background, she is 27 year old and from a small town in Perak called Kampar. Currently she is based in Petaling Jaya. She graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, a local university in Malaysia with a major in English Language Studies. She is experienced in teaching English Language in a private university and she has excellent grades in both English and Malay language back in school days.
Normally, we will prepare a document file and send to our translators for the translation. Everyone works in a certain timeline and after that we will re-post the whole piece of translated document to eVisa Asia.
From here, we would like again to thank our translators for their most appreciated effort and help with the translation on eVisa Asia.

Am able to translate from English to Portuguese (I understand that you already have several volunteers from the lusophone world, a big, loving one). Nevertheless, should I be of any service, please do not hesitate seeking assistance.

Hello,
I would be more than happy to translate into Polish.
I guess you have heard from many Polish-speakers but if there is enough work, I would still like to contribute. I am a qualified translator looking to gain more experience before going freelance. I am also an amateur globetrotter who recently spent a month in South East Asia and is hoping to go back this year.

I want to confirm, that I go to Laos from Malaysia. I no need to apply Visa. Should I apply border pass?
In reply to Yoon | Kuan says:
December 8, 2011 at 6:35 am
It would depend on your nationality. Are you a Malaysian? Certain nationality would be able to enter Laos visa-free. Malaysians are able to enter Laos visa-free for 30 days. While most foreign visitors are eligible for a Laos Visa On Arrival, passport holders of 29 countries require a visa from a Lao Embassy or Consulate.

As a Vietnamese passport holder with a view to apply for HK tourist visa, what sort of documents do I have to bring along when I go to the consulate?
In reply to K | Kuan says:
December 14, 2011 at 8:26 am
According to the Hong Kong Immigration Department website (www.immd.gov.hk), when applying for a visit permit at the nearest Chinese diplomatic and consular mission, documents required is:-
• Application for Entry for Visit/Transit in Hong Kong (ID 1003A)
• The applicant’s recent photograph (affixed on page 1 of the application form ID 1003A)
• Photocopy of the applicant’s travel document containing personal particulars, date of issue, date of expiry and/or details of any re-entry visa held (if applicable)
• Photocopy of proof of the applicant’s financial standing, e.g. bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts, etc. and proof of employment (if any), e.g. company leave letter, salary slips, etc.
• Photocopy of proof of transportation arrangement, e.g. flight itinerary
• Photocopy of proof of the proposed leisure visit to Hong Kong, e.g. receipt of joining a package tour to Hong Kong, itinerary, etc. (for leisure visit only)
An ordinary visa will cost $160 and it will normally take four weeks to process a visit permit application upon receipt of all the required documents.

You can enter certain parts of Southeast Asia visa-free and some countries offer visa on arrival. However, there is also countries which require prior visa arrangement before you board your flight. It generally depends on which country you intend to travel to. For more information, you can check out the Tourist Visa Requirement for Mexican Citizens (http://www.evisaasia.com/visa-requirement-english/tourist-visa-requirements-for-mexican-citizens-in-english/)
